About Lauren Kelly Design

As an interior designer in Boise, I am driven by a desire to improve people’s lives by creating spaces that are functional, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing. I am constantly seeking new inspiration and strive to create designs that exceed my client’s expectations.

My go-to style is a harmonious balance between clean lines, natural textures, and relaxed charm that is both sophisticated and timeless. I often incorporate natural materials such as wood, leather, and woven textiles, with an emphasis on creating warm and welcoming spaces.

My goal is to bring your vision to life and elevate it through thoughtfully curated finishes and furnishings.

Meet Lauren

Years ago I moved to San Francisco from the Midwest for a job in the tech industry. While enjoying a walk in the historic Pacific Heights neighborhood, I happened upon a designer show home open for tours and was stunned by awe and inspiration. This grand-scale home with breathtaking views really opened my eyes to a new level of design and possibilities. Soon after, I discovered renowned designer John Wheatman’s design studio in a beautiful Edwardian building on Union Street (John is the author of “A Good House is Never Done”). Frequent visits to John’s shop were my first education in design. I learned about light, color, texture, and form – all of which influenced my understanding of the elements that make a space feel inviting.

I studied Interior Design and Interior Architecture at UC Berkeley. I became a Maria Killam Certified True Color ExpertTM – an advanced color training program essential for interior designers. Over the years, I’ve helped friends and family remodel, renovate, and help stage their homes for sale. What began as a side gig has turned into a real design business.
