A Builder-Grade Kitchen Transformation

This project took a standard builder-grade kitchen and elevated it into a warm, inviting, and sophisticated space. In the original design, the dark cabinets and heavy finishes made the room feel dated. The transformation introduced light, airy elements, and a walnut countertop for the island to replace polished and dated granite. Additionally, the original kitchen featured a downdraft vent instead of a traditional range hood. To utilize the empty space where a hood would typically go, we installed floating shelves.
